This document outlines the current progress in the commissioning of the TPC, detailing the successful connection of 6 nodes to the read-out of one TPC sector. The first tracks have been recorded using the HLT online monitoring, and work is ongoing to debug the Clusterfinder algorithm, achieving an event processing time of approximately 4.1ms on a Dual Opteron machine. Future enhancements include integrating the Clusterfinder within the HROC FPGA, which promises significant CPU time savings, as referenced in J. Thader's thesis from KIP-Heidelberg.

Present status • 6 nodes on-line connected to the read-out of one TPC sector • Participating in the TPC first and second commissioning phase • First tracks seen with the HLT on-line monitoring • Present status: debugging our fast software Clusterfinder algorithm (~4.1ms/event for Dual Opteron machine)
HLT for TPC architecture In near future, CF will work in the HROC FPGA – significant saving in CPU time See thesis of J.Thader,KIP-Heidelberg
