E.g. Apple. • Horizontal integration – • Where one company owns several others to make profit. So if one fails or is sold they have others to fall onto. E.g. Virgin.

Unfortunately this is a smaller target audience compared with the news corp. ownership, so word of mouth may be heavily required. • News corp. allows, Cross media convergence in which it reaches out to a wider audience, coverage and positive reviews in News corp. productions/ materials, this is as they own media such as 20th century fox, sky news, fox and many news papers.
