Status – Phase I • SB 1002, 79th Texas Legislature, Regular Session, requires the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR), in partnership with the Office of the Governor, to develop a one-stop e-grant system • Phase I is in development • Texas state agencies will post funding opportunities in a one-stop system (similar to grants.gov) • December 2006 – proposed rules for system posted for Review & Comment in the Texas Register • 1/26/2007 – DIR begins functional testing of system • 1/31/2007 – Interagency meeting to brief state agencies on project timelines • 2/20/2007 – Texas state agencies begin user testing to post summary funding opportunity information Denise Stines Francis, Governor's Office of Budget, Planning & Policy - January 23, 2007
