  1. Update on Major 2014 Work Program Activities March 26 2014

  2. 2014 Work Program • Update for PLAN 2040 RTC ARC approval 3/26. GRTA approval likely 4/9. • Implement Regional Competitiveness Strategy Implementation task force underway. Consists of four committees, one for each of the goal areas. Almost 200 community reps for government, business, universities, technical schools, K12, and other sectors of the region. Status report likely this June/July.

  3. 2014 Work Program • Launch Aerotropolis Alliance First official board meeting rescheduled for March 28. Officers and board will be officially installed; 2014/2015 work plan will be adopted. • Complete Regional Arts & Culture Vision Draft regional A&C vision will likely be presented to ELUC likely May or June, including proposed ARC role. • Develop Partnerships for Metro Speaks Survey Steering Committee has been established, consisting of some early interested organizations. Fundraising between April and June; survey firm selected June.

  4. 2014 Work Program • Continue Workforce Solutions’ participation in Federal Reserve’s workforce research project. Launch of registry and workforce summit likely this fall. • Continue Community Care Transitions Program Program has been extended by CMS for another year. We are working on ways to make this a competitive service so that we can continue to offer it to hospitals, after CMS ends the demonstration program. • Draft ARC Strategic Plan & Evolution Strategy metrics In progress, first draft expected late summer/early fall.

  5. 2014 Work Program • Execute Legislative Relations Improvement Strategy In progress. Relationship matrix and improvement plan to be presented to Board this summer. • Revise ARC Bylaws Rewrite launched. First joint board staff meeting in April. Completion expected by October this year. • Align Agency’s Performance Evaluation System with Evolution Strategy Work underway. • Implement use of new Share Point software Extensive training underway, along with adoption of use of the software.
