E-tag Test Bed Proposal • ETB will contain all real-time data that WIT contains • Able to create new e-tags, new POR/PODs, new adjacencies, and test for new standards • Testing session times will be scheduled by ESWG • to ensure one user testing at a time • Phase II will be a WECC Interchange Authority Back-up • Currently getting assistance on technical requirements portions
ETB System Requirements document • Same functionality as WIT • Configure environment for your testing • Before/after a testing session, environment will reset to match production WIT information • All WIT updates will be reflected in ETB • GUIs will be similar to WIT but identified as “Test Environment” • Print and Export functions to allow for analysis after testing
ETB Benefits • Ability to test compliance to new standards before standard takes effect • Ability to test system changes before they take effect • Ability to test increased tagging loads (intra-hour and internal tags) • New hire training outside of the live production environment
WIT Functional Spec Task Force • WIT Wish List • Past requests that are now in WIT • Questions for ISAS • WIT Functionality Requests • Reserve responsible entity field
Demonstrations • 4 items from WIT Drafting Team, ATFWG, and Proposed WIT Functional Requirements that appear to already be in WIT • Feedback from ISAS
Demonstration 1 • Ability to drill down on NAI values to identify individual meters [WITDT #3] Ability is there, but most only register one meter (net)
Demonstration 2 • Default to daily mode for interchange summary, i.e. switch between ATF and NAI [ATFWG #8] By selecting “ATF” as your User Role and checking “Adj Data,”“Actual,” and “Schedule”
Demonstration 3 • BTF checkout clears if number changes in the past This does occur, any further issues? [WITDT #6]
Demonstration 4 • Audit log of what value was checked • There is an audit log that shows what values were checked and when, however it can be cumbersome to users • Wish List includes request to improve [WITDT #7, PWFR5, and PWFR7]
Questions for ISAS • 5 questions for the membership • ESWG could not come to a consensus or we were unclear on the issue be raised • If anyone can clarify please speak up
Question 1 • Total NSI check auto check all adjacent checks, or • Check all adjacents and total NSI auto checks What does the majority prefer?
Question 2 • Alarm in WIT for changes to NSI mid-hour and after the hour. How many would like this? Some already have this functionality in their home system, some do not….
Question 3 • If the net does not change from preschedule to real-time and to ATF, do you want the check to stay? If the value does not change, is there a reason to recheck it? [WITDT #4]
Question 4 • The Proposed WIT Functional Requirements list Do we need still need to ask for 62 days in the past?
Question 5 • Checkbox for megawatt values for in-hour schedules (intra-hour, curtailments, and emergency tags)? Currently the megawatt value is integrated into the hourly (MWH) values. This would add more columns to the display.
WIT Functionality Requests Document • 1. In monthly interchange mode, a checkbox verifying whole month checked, for checking with your adjacent BA. Either on the left side or the right side of the display, there needs to be a checkbox for each adjacent BA that will show when the entire month has been checked out in ATF. • Comments…
WIT Functionality Requests Document • Requirements to implement WIT Checkout Criterion will be given high priority for integration. • Implement a view of the current NSI target value for AGC rather than a NSI value integrated over an hour. • Implement intra hour sub-hour checkout indication (30 min, 15 min, other?) where sub-hour periods can be defined and checkout tracked electronically for each sub-hour period. • Redesign the Interchange Summary in such a way that NAI and NSI checkout can be performed on a single view rather than toggling between two views.
WIT Wish List • 2. Ability to accept EIDE messages from home scheduling systems to auto-check WIT checkout boxes. This is to eliminate the need for checking both home system and WIT. • Comments….
WIT Wish List • 3. The ability to auto filter in General Audit Trail. This will allow the user to filter the Audit Trail results by each column. • Comments….
WIT Wish List • 4. The ability to download data for a specific date range; more than a day at a time when in month mode. • Comments…. • 5. Ability to check both NAI and NSI on the same page. Currently can view both on the same display, yet there are not checkboxes for checking out both.
WIT Wish List • 6. The ability to freeze columns as the user scrolls across the checkout display. • 7. Have CST and CDT as timezone options on the Inadvertent display. There is currently only CPT as an option for central time. • Comments….
WIT Wish List • 8. Archive to show full month with date range options. • Was the intent of this request to speed up the querying process for multiple months? Our concern is that speed may not increase and it may not be cost beneficial. • 9. Checkbox verifying that the home system matches the WIT. • Isn’t a check in WIT saying that your home system matches WIT? • Comments…..
WIT Wish List • 10. OATI help desk phone number and email address on the main OATI page. • Currently there is only the email address for Mark Neilsen and Paul Rice, neither of which can be reached 24/7.
Reserve responsible entities field • This functionality may be retained. • The list of appropriate entities needs to be updated by the ESWG. • We will be tackling this in the coming months.
End • More Questions?
