Kaua’i Next Steps • TG1 - Need to open marketing coordination dialog with John Webb at Intel (John Webb, Intel, John.P.Webb@intel.com, +1.408.765.4238) • TG1 - Draft a position on the charges issue for 802.15 review by January, 2000. Submit to IEEE by March, 2000. • TG1 - Draft volunteers and Editorial Team lead to generate and submit to the IEEE and Bluetooth SIG a list of suggested Marketing material to support the IEEE Draft (primer, handbook, and companion). • TG1 - Draft volunteers and Editorial Team lead to review Bluetooth Upper Layers to determine if there are other SDOs that might also be interested in paralleling the TG1 work if ETSI remains undecided. • Draft volunteers and lead to find out what commercial publications are available? Kaua’i Next Steps (cont.) • a) Provide a white paper to the IEEE on the TG1 perceived publishing issues for a joint standard, draft by January • b) List of suggested marketing material to support the IEEE draft eg handbook, companion, pocket guides Definitions audience content format commercial pubs draft January • c) Support High Rate effort; brainstorm • d) Determine if there are other SDOs that might also be interested in paralleling the TG1 work if ETSI remains undecided, brainstorm • e) Trademark "WPAN" protect URL list of 6 • g) Suggest website edits Ian Gifford, M/A-COM, Inc.

Kaua’i Next Steps (cont.) • Focus team "a" • Ian to draft first version of the procedure to be discussed at January meeting • Focus team "b" • Contact Bluetooth SIG and issue liaison letter directly to Bluetooth to determine what material is available • Focus team "d" • Keep ETSI as primary but explore other IEEE groups as secondary, with IETF as backup • Focus team "e" • Explore terms such as 802.15, POS, http://www wpan.com/org/net • Define a logo that will embellish the 802.15 team • Action Item: Ian Gifford to modify web site by adding search criteria that will help Internet Search engines capture our key words.
