ANIMALS • Giraffes, Tigers Lions, Elephants, Zebras, and many more animals are located in the Grasslands.
CLIMATE • Grasslands are dry, warm, or hot. Rainfall ranges from about 20-50 inches. When it rains it usually rains for 6-8 months in a year. Even during the winter season, it gets pretty cool. Temperatures usually range between lower than 0-25 degrees C. W I N D y
PLANTS • Sweet coneflower, purple milkweed, corn crops, and wheat are all plants that are found in the grasslands.
WHERE IS IT LOCATED ON EARTH • Grasslands are large areas with rolling hills of grasses and wildflowers. Grasslands are found on every continent but Antarctica.
EXTRA • The soil of most grassland is too thin and dry for trees to survive. • Sometimes grasslands are called prairies, or savannahs.
