  1. Vacuum High Concept

  2. In short • Energy is nice, you are on a mission to collect as much energy as you can • The playable ship is equipped with a gravity manipulator... This allows the player to capture stardust energy and then tow it.

  3. In short • This game is not about bullet hell • In fact you can’t really fire projectiles • Instead you use what you collect in order to progress through the levels unharmed • Anything you manage to have saved by the end of a section can be used for upgrades

  4. Controls • Right stick controls the gravitational shield – use this to “capture” stardust • Stardust which has been “captured” will then follow you in a trail • Select which stardust colour you wish to use by pressing ABX or Y • Launch captured stardust with the R Trigger (In the direction you were pointing the right stick)

  5. Stardust properties • Green – Captured Energy - The ship can only tow one of this colour at a time, first the energy must be captured via the shield, it can then be fired outwards as a projectile. • Red – Barrier – Destroys all enemy energy upon contact, this can be used as a safety shield • Blue – Time Dilation – Everything which makes contact slows down while passing through the bubble of influence • Yellow – Magnetic Stardust – Attracts all uncaptured stardust, this can also be used as breadcrumbs to lead enemy stardust around corners etc

  6. Stardust properties • Mixing and matching stardust abilities is the key to progression – certain abilities have similar uses, but can be used together (ie you may only be able to use 1 Barrier Energy stardust at a time, so try using Time Dilation as well) • Puzzle opportunities also present themselves, for example using the Magnetic Stardust to direct enemy fire onto a switch, which opens a door which instantly closes again – so use the Time Dilation stardust on this to force it open long enough to pass through

  7. Gameplay Situation Example Barrier Energy provides protection against the enemy’s stardust projectiles

  8. Gameplay Situation Example • In order to pass this obstacle, the player must use the Magnetic, Time Dilation and Captured Energy stardust types. After passing through to the other side, the play may need to use Barrier Energy
