The Migration Matters initiative, led by Nina Livings and Shamshad Shah, aims to foster community cohesion and address the impacts of migration on local services in Northumberland. Funded through a £70 million Migration Impact Fund, this multi-partnership approach delivers four key project strands: improving service delivery, providing information, supporting the economy, and promoting equality and integration. Operating under the Stronger Communities Thematic Partnership, the initiative is designed to meet the evolving needs of migrants while benefiting local communities and supporting sustainable growth.
