  1. All you need to know about automatic door closer! An automatic door closer is a mechanical hydraulic device that is used for regulating the movement of a door. These closers generally, close the door automatically whenever has been opened. There is a hydraulic fluid inside the automatic door closer and a valve system that controls the speed at which the door closes when it is being closed by the hydraulic fluid. Electric-powered DC motors are used in automatic door openers to power a door open, and a mechanical spring mechanism is used to close the door as soon as it has been opened. In contrast to these models, automatic door closers are not designed to open a door automatically, but rather to shut it automatically. How do they work? Automatic door closers work by using and storing the energy used to open the door within a compression system of spring and releasing the energy at a controlled rate. This prevents the slamming of doors and within several different models, you can adjust the speed of this. Advantages of Automatic Door Closers As mentioned above, being able to control the speed and ease of how the door closes has its advantages. If there is high pressure from windows being open or the door is dividing inside from outside, pressure can cause doors to slam. Additionally, these automatic door closers help with heating costs.
