  1. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS In this presentation I am going to talk about interpersonal skills and how to use them to keep your audience interested.

  2. Body language When talking to your audience you should always use: • Body language • When talking to a audience you should always have a positive body language. • Eye contact • You should make eye contact with them so that you know that they are listening. • Gestures and Facial expressions • And always have positive gestures and facial expressions so that your audience is interested in what you’re saying.

  3. Tone of voice While talking to your audience you should: • Keep your voice clear at all times • Make sure you talk clear at all times so that they can understand what you are saying. • Talk in a loud voice • While talking to your audience you should keep your voice loud. • Not talk in a monotone voice • If you talk in a monotone voice they won’t be interested in the topic you’re talking about and will eventually get bored. • Keep asking your audience questions to keep them interested • And always ask them questions so that you know that they’re listening.

  4. Active engagement • Be attentive • If they are active they will concentrate on the topic and have interest in it. Keep your audience active • Always keep your audience active and make sure they don’t fall asleep. • Look at your audiences body language • You need to look at your audiences body language. • Don’t stay on one topic • If the audience is getting bored then move onto the next topic.

  5. Correct terminology • Use the correct language and the correct terminology • Using the correct language and terminology is important otherwise the audience will not understand what you’re saying. • Only use technical language when needed • If you do use a few technical words then you should explain the meaning of them. • No technical audience • If the audience does not understand technical language then don’t use it.

  6. Techniques to engage the audience. • One way to engage the audience is by adding either images, sounds or videos to your slides. • But make sure that the videos are short so that they keep their attention at you. • Another way is by giving them questionnaires or quizzes to do. • By doing this you will be able to see how much they know and what they like and dislike.
