  3. Speech-cannot lie/hurt someone Press-cannot print lies Peaceable Assembly-protest/rules Petition-signed list of grievances

  4. Amendment 2 The Right to Bear Arms -right to own or carry a gun through a legal manner

  5. You can’t stay here! Amendment 3 No quartering (lodging) soldiers in private houses- because of quartering before American Revolution

  6. Amendment 4 I hear you knocking, but you can’t come in without a warrant! Police, open up! No unreasonable searches and seizures-unless they have a warrant or probable cause Writs of Assistance

  7. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney … Amendment 5 Due Process

  8. Amendment 5 Rights of the accused- Miranda warnings when arrested Double jeopardy can’t be tried twice for same crime Self incrimination can’t be forced to testify against yourself

  14. Amendment 10 The states have rights too! Power to the states- every state has it’s own Constitution and Bill of Rights, anything not Listed in Constitution is up to the States

  15. Article I, Section 9 Writ of Habeas Corpus Court order that says you must be charged with a crime or released from police custody

  16. Article I, Section 9 Ex Post Facto Law Cannot be punished for something legal at the time you did it

  17. Article I, Section 9 Bill of Attainder A person, or group, other than a court of law cannot try or punish you for a crime
