November 16, 2000 Approved Engagement of the Process Team Bob Budd, Carolyn Knobloch, Ginger Massie, Jim Nelson, Dave Queal, Jeff Schmitt, Kevin Smith, Alicia Van Bockern September 2001 Approved the Process Team’s recommended alignment January - September 2001: Process Team reviewed alternatives and conducted an intensive scoping process for a recommended corridor Monthly team meetings were held to review alignment issues Open Houses were held to present information and receive feedback Process Team was able to select a recommended corridor CAC, TAC, and UDC Committees reviewed in September 2001 October 2002 Approved Environmental Assessment (EA) draft Field investigations began in fall 2001 and continued through summer 2002 N.   5. Adequately prepare the Sioux Falls area for 2025 transportation system needs consistent with planning decisions and future construction of other public and private infrastructure investments. Prevent Study Area roadway deficiencies that will occur by the year 2025 if nothing is done. Accommodate the 2025 traffic growth needs of the Study Area. 1). Purpose and Need
