This learning outcome focuses on equipping students with the skills to model and solve real-life application problems in mathematics. Students will learn to add, subtract, multiply, and divide real numbers, apply laws of integer exponents, simplify expressions, and translate between verbal, numeric, symbolic, and graphic forms. Additionally, they will solve linear equations and inequalities, graph equations in one and two variables, evaluate literal equations, perform operations with polynomials, and understand geometric relationships, including determining the equation of a line using appropriate technology.
