  2. A Dazzling Description of Beavers • Is a vegetarian, mammal, and rodent • Beavers have big teeth • Water proof fur • Paddle like tail • Hand like front feet

  3. Where do beavers live? • Around wooded areas. • In lakes , rivers , and streams. • More beavers live in North America than anywhere else in the world.

  4. Bravo! For the beavers basic needs. • The Beaver’s shelter is called a dam. • The beaver likes to eat the bark ,twigs and leaves off of willow, birch , aspen , and poplar trees.

  5. Adaptation-the beaver’s nose isn’t just for breathing • The beaver’s nose and ears shut to keep out water when the beaver swims. • It helps the beaver breath. • It helps the beaver keep from drowning.

  6. Adaptations-the beaver has special eyelids The beaver’s transparent inner eyelid helps the beaver see under water. This helps the beaver see under water (seeing is important). This adaptation helps it meet its needs by letting the beaver see under water.

  7. Adaptations-what is with the beaver’s feet?? • A beaver has 5 long webbed toes the webbed feet are good for swimming. • This is good because the beaver needs to swim. • Without the webbed feet the beaver wouldn’t be able to swim very good
