  3. A beavers rounded ears and small nostrils can close tightly to keep water out

  4. A beaver uses it’s tail to steer when it swims and as a prop when it stands on it’s hind legs to eat or cut trees

  5. Beavers have strong jaws and front teeth that they use to cut down trees.

  6. In late spring, the kits begin to swim outside the lodge.

  7. When a beaver lodge is finished it is big enough to hold a beaver family.

  8. Clothing manufacturers use beaver skins to make fur coats and to trim the collars and cuffs off cloth coats

  9. People hunt beavers for meat ,fur ,and medicine .but.

  10. April 7th is international beaver day
