Student Expectations Mr. Guerra’s desk and its contents are OFF LIMITS You’re expected to be on time---- this means sitting at your desk at the sound of the tardy bell You’re expected to come to class with all necessary materials –(pen, paper, etc) When you hear “ May I have your attention” or Listen up” you are expected to stop what you are doing and wait for instructions Do NOT leave class without permission

  12. Student Expectations Continued 6. NO Profanity 7. Food and Drinks are NOT allowed unless otherwise instructed 8. Horse playing in or out of the classroom will not be tolerated –SAFETY 9. No talking during lecture--- ask questions after we’re done 10. Individual questions are to be addressed with me at my desk, NOT during lecture

  13. Student Expectations continued 11. As stated in the student code of conduct, personal phones should not be on or out during class 12. Any and all type of destruction of property will not be tolerated 13. Expectations are to be followed in or out of the classroom Failure to follow expectations will result in the following: Verbal warning Detention Referral

  14. Class Procedures 1. 9 out of 10 times – all work will be done in class 2. All interior (classroom) and exterior(shop, garden outside area) will count toward your final grade 3. Each daily class activity( notes, assignment , group activities etc.) will be given a numeric grade on a 10 point scale 4. A summative (written exams, projects…etc.) will be given a numeric grade on a 100 point scale Group Projects – will include an overall / individual grade 5. Bring a folder with brads/pockets to class

Folder for extra Credit (optional ) - The folder is to be turned 1 week before the end of the six weeks- - It must bind papers together - Be divided by dates into four sections, listed as follows: A . Cover sheet – expectations B. Notes C. Assignments D. Exams or Quizzes This is NOT a difficult course as long as you TRY
