  1. Birtenshaw - Sport relief. Wednesday 19/03/14Football Each class is to submit a team of 6 people ( 3 young people and 3 staff). Whilst the game is being played there shall be a referee observing the game. Each team will begin the game in their own half standing next to the goal post. The ball will be placed in the middle of the pitch by the referee and when the whistle is blown each team can run to get the ball. When a goal is scored the opposing team gets possession starting in the middle of the pitch.The game will have two halves lasting 10minutes. At half time the teams should swap ends. Each team must pass at least three times before scoring and only young people can score a goal. When defending you can attempt to get the ball using your feet but you cannot use physical contactto do so.Only the goal keeper may handle the ball in their own area. If at full time score is a draw then there will be a sudden death penalty shoot out involving both staff and young people.Fundraising: Donate 2 pounds to sponsor favourite team or player (if you’re feeling generous you can sponsor both).

Friday 21/03/14Water polo rulesRules: Each class is to submit a team of 4 people ( 2 young people and 2 staff).Whilst the game is being played there shall be a referee observing the game. Each team will begin the game in their own half standing next to the goal post. The ball will be placed in the middle of the pool by the referee and when the whistle is blown each team can run to get the ball. When goal is scored the opposing team gets possession starting from the middle of the pool.The game will have two halves lasting 10minutes. At half time the teams should swap ends.You cannot run or walk with the ball in your hands if you do so will be counted as a foul and possession is handed over to the opposing team. You can swim with the ball in front of you which is known as dribbling.You may throw the ball to other team members. When defending you may try and grab the ball off the opposing team but cannot use physical contact to do so.Each team must pass at least three times before scoring and only young people can score a goal. Sport Relief adventure trail Rules: • The trail begin on the 21/03/14 at 10:45 am from the Kestrels outside area (entrance). • There will be 8 groups in total and first group will start at 10:45 am and each group after that will start every 5 minutes, one group at a time. For example : Group 1- 10:45, Group 2-10:50, Group 3 -10:55 etc. • Each young person will have an activity checklist to carry through and will receive a sticker for every station that is completed. • The trail will start from Kestrels entrance and finish in LD entrance area. Station number 1- NUMBERED TRAIL PATH- Willow project. • Young people will throw the dice and move along the numbered path until they have reached the and of the number trail . • Once station is complete run or walk to station 2 going past outside of the swimming pool and head towards the outside social are of Osprey`s classroom. Station number 2- PENALTY SHOOT OUT • Young people must kick the ball from the penalty spot in the net and a score 3 times. Staff will act as a goalkeeper for the more able children but some may just kick the ball in to an open nets. • Once completed run or walk to station 3 which is in the outside social area of Owl`s classroom.

Station number 3 BEAN BAG THROW • Young people have to stand behind a line then throw the bean bag at a target. • Differentiation: colours or numbers depending of ability. • Once the target has been achieved run/walk to station 4 which is in the outside social area of Goshawk`s classroom. Station number 4 CRICKET • Young people will take turns at both bowling and batting. When bowling the young person must throw the ball at who ever is batting until the other young person has hit the ball with the bat. • Differentiation : different size balls. • Once this has been achieved the young people will change rules before moving on to station 5. Station number 5 TRAIL RUN • Young people will run or walk through the car park following the guided path which will situated on the outer perimeter of the old building. • Young people will then collect a sticker then run or walk back to the young person`s entrance waiting area which will be the finishing line to collect there reward. EACH YOUNG PERSON WILL REQUIRE DIFFERENT LEVELS OF SUPPORT AT EACH OF THE STATIONS AND IF POSSIBLE FOR THEM TO COMPLETE THE COURSE AS INDEPENDENTLY AS POSSIBLE
