Looking after something so it can be passed on to the next generation. The act of creating the universe. The power or right of governing and controlling.

  12. Environmental LINKS... STEWARDSHIP: Humans are looking after the earth for God – they are temporary keepers and so must ensure they return it in the condition God would want. RESPONSIBILITY: God has given human beings the gift of the world and they have a duty to ensure it is passed on to future generations. AUTHORITY/DOMINION: Humans are in charge of the natural world. Some see this as meaning they can therefore do as they want with the world as it belongs to them.
