Neighbourhood Plan – What is it • Part of Localism Act • Has statutory status • Parish Council led but involves whole community • Consult Parishoners and statutory authorities • Evidence of consultation • Long process (2 years?) • Estimated £20K • Requires Approval and a Referendum • Must conform with Local Strategic policy and National Planning Policy Framework

  5. Neighbourhood Plan – Why? • Sets out policies covering the use of Land in the Parish • Choose where we want new homes, shops and offices to be built • Have an input on what new buildings should look like
