Understanding Human Movement Through Education (HMTE) The context of the assignment As a teacher your job is to heighten children’s awareness of movement through skill development while relating this understanding of movement to what you believe the children should learn for the rest of their lives.

Understanding Human Movement Through Education (HMTE) • Know what you wish children to learn for the rest of their lives • Decide on movement components which you wish to emphasize link • Consider the abilities of the children • Plan an initial movement experience within a learning context • Continue developing the movement and continue to develop what you wish to teach the children through: • expanding the movement sequence • using resources to reinforce • linking other learnings (interdisciplinary)
