    1. Two-Way Tables A random sample of the people in a certain county revealed the following information regarding their age and gender.   Under 20 20 to 40 Over 40 Male 20 47 28 Female 22 43 40 The county has a population of 75,000. Use this information to estimate how many males aged between 20 to 40 years are in the county. Firstly add the whole sample: 20 + 47 + 28 + 22 + 43 + 40 = 200 There are 47 males aged between 20 to 40 years in the sample of 200 people Therefore the estimated number for this group in a population of 75000 is: ( ? by 100) (? by 2) 75000 ? 47 750 ? 47 375 ? 47 = 17,625 200 2
