  2. Jesus: “Who do you say I am?”Peter declared: “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God”. Jesus : “Because My Father in heaven revealed this to you, so now I tell you: You are Peter (which means rock). OnthisRock, I will build my Church”. Event in the Gospel that featured Peter What is the Rock that Jesus is talking about ? The Rock - is Peter (his name means “rock”) - is Peter’s declaration “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God”. The Church is built on these two things. 1. Explain what is the “rock” that the Church is built on. 2. Draw a picture to show this. You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God”.
