  2. ICT is a great tool for cooperation Students can use it in their own time. It does not need synchronicity. It can link students in different groups and countries. It adds variety to classes. The final product is in an attractive format: movies, mp3, interactive websites, etc and can be used/visited endlessly. Learners have to be more independent and responsible.

  3. ICT useful to stimulate collaboration in a language class Quizlet Voicethread Comic Life Wikis Photostory Blogs

  4. QUIZLET Great tool for vocabulary revision. It can be organised by teacher or collaborative by students. It is free. www.quizlet.com

  5. VOICETHREAD Great tool for oral practice. It saves podcasts around a picture/topic/video/ text. Everybody can listen to what others have said. It can be used free for 3 projects but it is cheap to suscribe. www.voicethread.com

  6. COMIC LIFE Another way of expressing ideas in writing using photos or drawings. Students can tell a story using photos in the style of a comic. Easy to use and fun. It is not free although it is cheap (₤12/ ₤165 in 50 computers) www.comiclife.com

  7. WIKIS Like a blog but everybody/ specific group of people can have rights to edit it. It is very useful for revision. You can edit it like you do in Word. It is free and they have a subscription for schools without ads. www.wikispaces.com

  8. VOKI.com It is great fun for the first lessons in a foreign language as students create their avatars and make them talk. Students can record their voices or write the information and make them talk in different accents. www.voki.com
