Title: Travel Incentive Programme Events | Effective Business Content: We @Effective Business Events and Travel have worked with our client Fujitsu, a global IT organisation, to run an annual travel incentive programme for their top performing staff for the past few years. Each year we are tasked with proposing several aspirational destinations for up to 400 guests with excellent flight schedules from all major European cities. The hotel must be a 5 star hotel with conference facilities, close to the airport and be able to offer a fun and varied entertainment programme plus stunning gala dinner venue – all within a fixed budget. SCOPE OF SERVICES ⚫Venue finding to propose multiple aspirational destinations ⚫Site visits to short-listed destinations ⚫Sourcing and working closely with a local DMC ⚫Contract negotiation ⚫Budget management ⚫Supplier management ⚫Website design and build with secure registration portal ⚫Branding ⚫Flight schedules including group flights and individual flight itineraries from a range of destinations ⚫Communication & personal itineraries for guests ⚫Airport meet & greet and transfers to and from hotel ⚫Varied activity programme plus local site seeing ⚫Range of restaurants and venues for catering ⚫Daily entertainment ⚫Daily room gifts and communication letters ⚫Gala dinner ⚫Progress updates to organiser with up-to-date costs THE RESULT The client chose Dubai as the destination and all guests were accommodated in the five star Madinat Jumeirah Resort, adjacent to the iconic Burj al Arab for a fantastic luxurious and activity filled four-day event ending with a glittering gala dinner. Optional tours were given over the course of the event which included a visit to the Burj Khalifa, the old town and shopping in the local souks. It was also important to schedule some free time to allow guests to explore the wonderful resort and visit the beach, many swimming pools, spa, restaurants and souks as they wished. One evening a Jeep safari deep into the desert was arranged where a traditional Bedoiun feast was served. Guests were able to wear traditional dress, ride camels,

2. play the drums, have henna tattoos and listen to a local band and watch belly dancing during their evening. A conference as well as regional breakfasts were held within the resort at various restaurants to communicate to teams before a glittering gala dinner with live band signalled the event of a truly successful event! The feedback we received from both the client and their guests was that the event was outstanding and a truly successful and, in fact, would be hard to beat!
