  3. NEED FOR VOCATIONAL CENTERS As per the Census of India, the working age group to constitute up to 64% of India’s population by 2021. This increase is likely to be in the age group of 20-35 years, enabling India to have the youngest working population. On the other hand, much of the youth in India are denied or have limited access to vocational opportunities leaving their potential untapped.

  4. COMPUTER LITERACY CENTER In order to train and empower the underprivileged with permanent skills enabling them to earn their livelihood, we have set up Computer training centers in Delhi, NCR.  • The courses are for three months each, starting with the basics and progresses ahead with detailed knowledge in the usage of computers.

  5. COURSE STRUCTURE • The course is supported by “Microsoft”. • Each course of a 3-month duration. • Upon completion participants are rewarded with certificates from them for their future. • After completion of the course content an exam is taken based on which the candidate is passed to the next level of training. • Apart from assuring literacy we also simultaneously train candidates to build their self confidence and prepare them for job interviews. • As we plan growing these computer centers we will also be assuring jobs to the deserving candidates in our new centers.

  7. NEED FOR SEWING TRAINING CENTER • Financial Independence for women in India is a key issue today. Basic tailoring skills enable women to work from home , they can continue in their traditional role as homemaker and yet earn. • Women empowerment through self reliance and financial independence can be achieved by providing vocational training. • Tailoring is something which women can immediately start right from their homes upon completion of their course

  8. Our work • The stitching Center at Dadri consists of 20 sewing machines. • Women from anywhere across India are welcome to join the program for free • Certification at the Stitching Center is provided by USHA. • Our trainers are experienced women, who not only train these women how to stitch but also trains them towards WOMEN EMPOWERMENT.

  9. ENGLISH LITERACY CENTER English is the business language of the world. Main hurdle of the rural youth to connect with the mainstream is their lack of knowledge in English language.

  10. Our Work • We at Serve Samman educate the participants joining our vocational centers with basic English learning and speaking. This includes writing their name/signature, reading alphabets & numbers and basic English conversational skills. • Apart from building their self-confidence this learning also helps in getting them ready to meet the challenges as they prepare to visit cities for job interviews and enhancing their career opportunities. • Each student on clearing the basic level exam gets a certificate from our end certifying that he/she has done a course in English which further helps him to get a job. • English Literacy Centers are open to anyone above age 6 years.
