Belarus • The Republic of Belarus is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe. • Bordered by Russia to the northeast, Ukraine to the south, Poland to the west, and Lithuania and Latvia to the northwest. • Declared independence from Soviet Union in August of 1991. • 40% of Belarus is covered by forest. • Many streams and rivers flow through the country.

  4. Background • Many of his artworks have a mosaic like quality that provides depth and comes from the use of a palette knife. • Considered a Russian-Israeli modern impressionist. • Has homes in Boca Raton and Cancun Mexico. • Made his success on eBay. • Influenced by Marc Chagall
