  25. PAY SCHEDULE • Our work week begins on Tuesday and runs through Monday. • We get paid bi-weekly. Payday is every other Tuesday. • Distribution of checks will be available when the store receives its payroll on Tuesday. • Your Manager distributes payroll checks. • We do NOT “hold back” a paycheck! • DIRECT DEPOSIT is available…

  27. TIME CARDS • Every employee is required to properly clock in and out on the POS system • All employees will clock in at their scheduled time…in full uniform and ready to work • If for any reason you fail to clock in or out only your supervisor can adjust the time you work in the POS system

  28. INTRODUCTORY PERIOD • All Cutting Edge employees serve an introductory period at the beginning of their employment. • This period gives you an opportunity to decide if you want to work for the Company, and it gives the Company time to observe your performance. • Usually, the introductory period is 90 calendar days, but it can be extended or reduced at our discretion. • Toward the end of this period, your Manager may meet with you to discuss your performance and the Company’s decision to continue or terminate your employment or to extend the introductory period.

  29. CHANGE in PERSONAL STATUS • If YOU have a change in YOUR… • Name • Address • Tax Status • Or any other information necessary to maintain proper employee records… …it is YOUR responsibility to complete a STATUS CHANGE FORM and submit it to your supervisor with the necessary changes.

  31. CELL PHONE POLICY • The use of cell phones in the workplace is strictly prohibited by all restaurant employees. • The store phone is not for personal calls either; however, if someone needs to reach you in the event of an emergency they should contact you through the store phone. • One-on-one contact with our customers is critical. When employees put their cell phone calls above work, they send a message that we have a lack of respect for the customer. • Employees are paid to work, not to make personal phone calls, even if the calls are made on their personal cell phones. • Due to the nature of their positions, the General Managers & District Managers are excluded from this policy. • Violation of this policy will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

  32. 401K PLAN • Employees are eligible after one year of continuous service. • Must be at least 21 years old. • Plan is administered by American Funds. • Cutting Edge Pizza will make a safe harbor matching contribution equal to 100% of what you contribute up to 4% of your pay. • Open enrollment is in January and July

  35. SEXUAL HARASSMENT (continued) • EXAMPLES include, but are not limited to obscene jokes, pictures or objects sexually suggestive or insulting comments or contact • It is illegal and against Company policy for an employee to harass a customer, supplier, franchisee, vendor or another employee • Any employee who engages in any action or conduct constituting sexual harassment will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment

  36. SEXUAL HARASSMENT – Reporting Procedure… • Cutting Edge Pizza is committed to enforcing its Sexual Harassment Policy at all levels. All members of management are accountable for the effective administration of this policy. • We take all reports seriously and will respond promptly to insure a confidential, objective investigation. • An employee who believes that he/she has been the subject of sexual harassment should report the alleged incident(s) IMMEDIATELY to their Restaurant Manager.

  37. SEXUAL HARASSMENT – Reporting Procedure (continued)… • If the incident involves the restaurant manager, contact the next level of management, Corporate Human Resources or the Ethics Hotline. • Employee registering the complaint will prepare an individual written statement of the alleged incident(s) and an investigation will be done. • There will be no discrimination or retaliation against any employee registering a complaint.

  38. SEXUAL HARASSMENT – Corrective Action… • If the final outcome of the investigation shows that the alleged offender committed sexual harassment, the employee will be disciplined in a manner consistent with the severity of the harassment • May include, but is not limited to a verbal warning, a written warning, a suspension without pay, transfer, demotion or termination of employment • Should the results of the investigation prove to be inconclusive, all parties involved will review this policy with the understanding that any violation of this policy in the future will call for immediate disciplinary action and/or termination

  39. POST ACCIDENT DRUG SCREEN • Any employee involved in a work-related accident must inform their Manager immediately, and seek medical attention. • In conjunction with the necessary medical treatment they will be required to have a post accident drug screen performed.

  41. SHAKER BOARD CONTEST • Who is the BEST Shaker Boarder in the country? • The 3 best compete in Las Vegas every year!!! • Prizes: $1000…$1500…$2500!!!

  42. Grand Opening and Daily Sharkerboarding

  43. Grand Opening and daily Shaker Boarding • When you are shaker boarding, you are the first impression of the store. • Purpose of a shaker boarder, is to draw the attention of drivers going by • The shaker boarder acts as a live billboard • Uniqueness draws the most attention and creates buzz and excitement • Mentions on twitter, facebook, youtube

  44. Grand Opening and daily Shaker Boarding When you are shaker boarding, you are the first impression of the store. • Always have a smile. • Never talk on your cell phone (same rules apply as in store) • Earphones are ok. • Keep it lively, tasteful and engaging with drivers. • Shaker boarding is not sign holding, continuous movement • Be unique. Purpose of a shaker boarder, is to draw the attention of drivers going by to our message • It is a fact, that 70% of Americans do not know what they are having for dinner that night by 4pm. • We deliver a convenient and quick solution to that. • A shaker boarder impresses upon drivers these types of actions.

  45. Grand Opening and daily Shaker Boarding Uniqueness draws the most attention and creates buzz and excitement (which = sales!) • Many shaker boarders become known icons within their community • If impactful enough, many passersby mention the individual in tweets, facebook comments or texts to friends. This is great as it gets the location mentioned via social word of mouth. • Our current Facebook (LittleCaesarsCEP) and You Tube (Little Caesars CEP) host videos and pictures of current employees having a blast while shaker boarding. • No idea is bad! Be sure to share it with your GM! We have one who sets up a drum kit and plays, many who dance, and some who use the shaker board as a prop and teach themselves to spin and toss it. • Have FUN with it!
