  1. Art Using a Non-Traditional Medium Your task will be to create a work of art that uses an unusual material in it’s creation.

  2. Steps to follow: Brainstorm some idea for materials you could use to create art. Decide the subject matter. Almost anything will do, just be original and NO COPY WORK. Draw some planning/composition sketches. COMPOSITION IS IMPORTANT!!! Try your idea. Adjust if needed.

  3. Here are some examples of Non-traditional mediums: Can you guess what this is made out of?

  4. What About using Cardboard?

  5. Or tinfoil?

  6. Sea shells might make a nice 3-D Sculpture.

  7. Stuff we throw away makes great art!

  8. Can you guess what they used to create these paintings?

  9. What about these?

  10. You can do a lot with a little tape.

  11. Food can be fun.

  12. This was made with seeds.

  13. Yarn or paper would work.

  14. Just Use your imagination!
