The Drum tower The Drum Tower in Xian was built in 1380 during the reign of Emperor Hongwu of the Ming Dynasty. The drums were used to tell time. It was renovated twice in 1699 and 1740. Now the drum tower is not used to tell time anymore. It is a place that people go to, to see different types of drums.
The City Wall When Zhu Yuanzhang, the first Emperor of the Ming Dynasty captured huizhou, a hermit named zhusheng told him that he should build a wall to store food supplies and to unfiy the other states.
