Tab is visible only to those who have access to Grant related FOAPALs in Banner Finance. (i.e. Funds beginning with a 2, 3 or 4XXXXX.). The research tab current consists of news feeds from Grants.gov, NIH, and NSF.

  1. Tab is visible only to those who have access to Grant related FOAPALs in Banner Finance. (i.e. Funds beginning with a 2, 3 or 4XXXXX.)

  2. The research tab current consists of news feeds from Grants.gov, NIH, and NSF. The Researcher Resources channel has the link to the Checkbook, eRA, ERS, and the RAS and Research and Graduate education website. PI Checkbook

  3. Set up like a checkbook • A simple way for PIs to: • View Expenditures • Budget • Encumbrances • A quick snapshot of the Available Balance

  4. Features: • Determine grant balance at a glance • Filters on PI, Amount, Status and Grant # • Can move columns around • Click on hyperlink to drill into details

  5. Features: • Up-to-the minute view of balance and transactions • Summary of Compensation, Non-Compensation and Total Available • Export 50 rows at a time to excel, PDF or .CSV file.

  6. Features: • For salary entries and salary encumbrances, you can drill into the detail of who is being paid or encumbered. • (REQUIRES Salary detail access in Banner)

  7. Features: • If an image is available to view, you will be taken directly to it when clicking on the Image icon.

  8. Features: • Purchase Order drill thrus provide commodity information and PO balance on each line.

  9. Features: • Invoice drill thrus allow you to see the related PO #, The invoice amount, Check or ACH #, and whether the check was cashed.
