Monash Local Government is structured with 11 Councillors across 4 multi-member wards. There are 3 wards with 3 councillors each (Mount Waverley, Mulgrave, and Oakleigh) and 1 ward (Glen Waverley) with 2 councillors. The current mayor is Micaela Drieberg, elected in November 2012 and educated at Deakin University and Swinburne University of Technology.   3. Our Local Government The mayor of Monash is Micaela Drieberg. She was elected in November 2012. She was educated at Deakin University and Swinburne University of Technology.

  4. Residence The home owners of Monash pay rates to the government which they use to makes and fixes things like fixing roads, libraries, public services and leisure activities.
