Equestrian Team

Join the Butler University Equestrian Team for the 2010-2011 academic year! Led by President Caitlin Severson, our dedicated officers include Vice-President Elisabeth Nicholson, Treasurer Lauren Garnett, and PR/Fundraising Coordinator Shelby Hunter. Membership dues are $40 per semester or $65 annually, with additional IHSA fees based on disciplines. Enjoy riding lessons, competitions, and numerous fundraisers. Meetings and updates are available on our Blackboard site. Be part of a supportive community centered around equestrian sports this year!

Basic Membership • Team Dues (checks made out to “Butler University Equestrian Team”) • Semester: $40 • Year: $65 • IHSA Dues (checks made out to “IHSA Inc.”) • One Discipline: $30 • Two Discipline: $40 • NEW THIS YEAR – Hunt seat riders must be USHJA members ($15 yearly membership fee) • Lessons • Hunt Seat: $45 • Western: $30 Due 9/15

IHSA Application • www.ihsainc.com • Membership > Individual Application • Click on registration link (depends on whether returning rider or not) • Fill out registration and print application • New members req’d to fill out Individual Placement Form • 3 items: Return (1)Application and (2)Individual Placement Form and a (3)check (made out to IHSA Inc.) to Lauren Garnett by 9/15

Showing • Optional, but highly encouraged • Divisions for everyone • Walk/Trot to Open Fences/Flat • Walk/Jog to Open Reining/Horsemanship • Cost • $25/class • Maximum of 2 classes/show • Points • 1st/7pts 2nd/5pts 3rd/4pts 4th/3pts 5th/2pts 6th/1pt • No show clothes? No problem • share clothes/directions to local stores
