  6. Dressage is ridden in a 20m x 40m arena. Many skills are developed in riding a dressage test – concentration and spacial awareness are improved DRESSAGE

  7. It is very important for riders to understand how to look after their horse properly. Grooming – why do we groom? Feed – What to feed – portions – how often – treats. HORSE CARE & KNOWLEDGE

  8. Tack – Care and fitting of tack. Stables/fields – cleanliness and safety. Looking after a horse is an extension of looking after yourself! HORSE CARE & KNOWLEDGE

  9. Join local Special Olympics or RDA Group. Go along to nearest Equestrian Centre and see what they have to offer. Make sure they are geared up for riders with physical/learning disability.
