  3. What Is It? Attributes It is a story about an 8 year old genius that almost got led to the path of evil. imaginary elements are largely possible within scientific laws of nature. Science Fiction Stories that involve discovery or application of new scientific principles Examples Genius Squad by Catherine Jinks Genius Wars by Catherine Jinks

  4. Attribute: imaginary elements are largely possible within scientific laws of nature. “Cadel has been hacking into high-security computer networks, is that it”. (pg.6) “This watch, he declared, displaying it to the class, is a gold Rolex. It cost me ten thousand dollars”.(pg.130) “cadel’s first class was at ten. He had a busy day ahead of him. Pure evil would be followed by disguise, infiltration, and Dr.Deal’s law class, which was at four.(pg.300)

  5. Attribute: stories that involve discovery or application of new scientific principles. “Vernon argued that an extremely small portion of the human race was pyrogenetic. “Pyrogenes”(as people called them) allowed people to light fires using only their body heat. (pg.19) GenoMe, which claimed that trained GenoMe “potentializers” could map your exact genetic code and tell you where you were going wrong in life. By knowing exactly what potentials were contained in you genes, you could see where you were pointlessly fighting against your very nature. (pg.100) An OC-48 line. Oh, and there’s a supercomputer. In the back room. But you can only use it under supervision. And if your wondering why it looks like a tank, the whole thing’s shielded against Red Signal leaks, you know?” (pg. 137)

  6. Evaluation: Evil Genius • Catherine Jinks did a good job creating the plot of the story. I was like she has watched every movie with an absolutely evil nemesis. I really like the idea of an 8 year old kid being able to do all of these amazing things that a scientist have trouble doing. But I think that it was a common and predictable in some parts of the story.
