Background • Founded in 2001 • 501 (c)(3) Public funded not for profit • Externally Audited since 2004 • Services provided to Latin America and gulf coast recovery • Leased warehouse for storing and staging medical materials for missions and donations • Reliance on volunteers • Recycle of medical materials no longer usable in U.S.

Accomplishments Mission to Ecuador 2002 • 28 Physicians, nurses, residents and support staff • 40-foot container sent in advance of mission • 5 Pallets air freighted two weeks prior to mission • 28 footlockers of instruments accompanied team • 72 medical interventions completed; (24 pediatric procedures – tonsillectomy, chronic ear, congenital cyst, cleft lip) • Donated two 40 ft. containers of medical supplies

Accomplishmentscontinued Mission to Ecuador 2003 • 37 Physicians, nurses, residents and support staff • 40-foot container sent in advance of mission • 6 Pallets air freighted two weeks prior to mission • 36 footlockers of instruments accompanied team • 92 medical interventions completed; (33 pediatric procedures – tonsillectomy, chronic ear, congenital cyst, cleft lip) • Eye exams for 1232 patients and dispensed 1956 eyeglasses; (266 pediatric cases) • Donated three 40 ft. containers of medical supplies

Accomplishmentscontinued Mission to Nicaragua – October 13-20 , 2007 • 34 Physicians, nurses, residents and support staff • 6 Pallets of supplies sent in advance of mission • One special hazardous material shipment of bone cement • 31 footlockers and boxes of instruments accompanied team • 52 major surgical procedures including cleft lips and Palates plus adult procedures • 1354 eye exams • 54 participants in formal BLS education and 10 participants in ACLS

Accomplishmentscontinued Local Donations: • National Guard - Within 48 hours after Katrina donated three truckloads of first aid and medical supplies • City of New Orleans - Assisted in receiving, warehousing and distributing medical equipment for the City of New Orleans • Women’s New Life Center – donation of medical and office equipment • Servants of Mary, Ministers to the Sick – donation of medical supplies, medical equipment, office equipment, and furniture • Second Harvesters Food Bank – donation of 32,183 pounds of food • representing 80,000 meals for the poor • Catholic Charities – donation of medical supplies for various agencies rebuilding • Daughters of Charity – donation of medical supplies and equipment • Access Pregnancy Center – Donation of medical equipment and supplies
