    5. Key developments (2) TQEF We are committed to mainstreaming formula funding element of TQEF in a way that supports the continuous improvement of learning and teaching. There are a number of options as to how this might be achieved and we will be discussing them over the coming year. NSS dissemination website IPSOS/Mori have recently been awarded the contract to re-develop the NSS dissemination website They have been talking to users about what improvements they would like and we hope that it will, over the next three years become a valuable resource for instituions. Will contain a wide range of useful tools and materials. Inclusion of FECs in NSS/Unistats This year will be the first year that directly-funded provision in FECs will have been included in the NSS and subsequently on Unistats We are encouraged by the relatively high response rate they have achieved in their first year (56% - this isnt yet public but you might want to hint at it) Review of NSS Process Every year IPSOS/Mori undertake a review of how the NSS process (not policy!) went and how it could be improved: after four years we thought we should get an independent view. Alan Brickwood Associates have been appointed to undertake the review and we expect results in time to inform next years survey.
