  2. Motivation • Open forum for discussing operational issues of regional significance • Open forum for sharing operational information from each country in Asia • Participants include ISP network engineers and network operators

  3. History • Intended as Asia Pacific equivalent of North American NANOG, European EOF, and African AfNOG • Existed for many years as a mailing list • Now also occupies a slot in the 6 monthly APNIC meeting

Previous Meetings – 2003 • APNIC 16 – Seoul • Report from SANOG2/Networking South Asia • Update on INOC-DBA system • Internet in Afghanistan • Tracking Blaster/Nachi • APRICOT 2003 – Taipei • SANOG I • KIOW2002 • .org and the Public Interest Registry • The New Zealand Internet • NTT/Verio’s experiences deploying a global network
