  2. Introduction • This Web-quest follows the fourth grade Georgia Performance Standards for Social Studies. The topic of this Web-quest is Native American tribes of North America. It highlights the Creek, Cherokee, Pawnee, Hopi, and Seminole tribes. GPS: Grade:4 • Description: SS4H1 The student will describe how early Native American cultures developed in North America. Describe how the American Indians used their environment to obtain food, clothing, and shelter ************************************************************************************* • You and your friends are hiking in the woods. You stumble across a strange object. After carefully inspecting it, you discover it is a TIME MACHINE! How exciting! You all decide that you want to be time travelers. You all jump into the time machine and travel to North America to the year 1500 (the time of Cherokee, Creek, Pawnee, and Seminole Indians).

  3. Home Tasks • After being divided into five groups, A, B, C, D & E, you will be assigned the task of researching a North American Indian tribe. • You will use websites within this Web-quest to gather your information. • While working in your groups, you will make a fact book about your tribe.

  9. Teacher Page • My name is Tammy Hall and I am a graduate student at Piedmont College. This is my Web-quest for my EDUC 601 summer class!  • This Web-quest is an engaging lesson plan for your fourth grade class about North American Indian Tribes.The students will learn about the different cultures, and lifestyles of five different Native American Tribes.They will be able to use their creativity for the project, as well as, work in a group environment. GPS standard used was: SS4H1 The student will describe how early Native American cultures developed in North America. Describe how the American Indians used their environment to obtain food, clothing, and shelter.
