FOOD/HUNTING • The Lower Creek Indians were mainly farmers. They grew corn, beans, and squash. • The Upper Creek Indians were hunters and warriors.
GOVERNMENT • EACH INDIAN VILLAGE HAD ITSOWN CHIEF.
SHELTER • Their shelter was made of materials found nearby. Most of them lived in houses made of plaster , wood, vines and mud. • They also use river cane , small branches and grass for their roofs.
RELIGION • THE SUN WAS THE MAIN GOD. • AS A SYMBOL OF THE SUN, THEY KEPT A SACRED FIRE BURNING . • KEEPERS OF THE FIRE FED IT SOME CORN MEAL OR ANIMAL MEAT EVERY DAY. • THEY THOUGHT EVERY ANIMAL AND PLANT HAD A SPIRIT. • SOMETIMES WHEN THEY KILLED A DEER, THEY WOULD ASK FOR ITS FORGIVENESS.
