1. Why your Children should be Enrolled Somewhere after School As a parent, the time between when school comes out and you get home can be one of the most stressful times of the day. While you may know that you can trust your child, get home, complete homework and stay safe are all tremendous responsibilities for a child at any age. Fortunately, after school programs are huge resources for parents that you can use to reduce worry both for you and your child. The most important benefits your child can have in an after school program: Health and Safety Benefits One of the first reasons you may consider an after school program is to ensure the safety of your child. Young children often are not equipped to deal with emergencies that may arise, and a quality post-school care program will include staff members with CPR and first aid training. In addition to the next supervision that your children will receive, you may also know that they have safe transportation available when you choose a local after school childcare program that offers this option. Nutritious snacks and physical activities will also help give your child the fuel they need for healthy development. Academic support

2. Busy parents know that trying to prepare dinner, doing a full homework and connecting with their child may seem impossible to do in the few hours they have left after work. For this reason, after school day care program focus on providing academic instruction that can help your child focus on the areas of learning they need most. From completing homework to individual tutoring, you can provide academic services that will increase your child's chances of success. Extracurricular activities All work and no play can make for a very unhappy child. However, small children who go home after school have few options to release their energy and explore new interests. In an after school for kids program, children have opportunities to expand their learning with activities that include gymnastics, robotics, and drama. Outdoor fun is also encouraged, and activities such as learning to climb or plant a garden can teach valuable skills that transfer to academic success. When children participate in an after- school program that encourages them to take risks and explore the world around them, they get excited about learning and cannot wait to see what will happen with each new day. Empowerment and Motivation

3. During her early years, the child's confidence is developed through her academic and post-school experiences. It is therefore important for children to know that they have the support of other adults outside their family who understand the importance of developing self-esteem. In an after school program, children are encouraged to strive for their greatest potential, and trained staff members walk their learning, offering opportunities for greater independence. BENEFITSOF BEFOREANDAFTER SCHOOL CHILD CAREPROGRAMS Most parents with young children are in need of a day care center when they have previous work commitments. It is difficult for a parent to trust anyone with their children, especially a stranger unrelated to the child.
