  1. Cardiovascular Surgeon By Ailis F. M. Waddill

  2. Why I chose my topic: I chose my topic because I want to be a cardiovascular surgeon when I am older. I want to become a surgeon so that I can save lives and I can make a difference. I want to learn as much as possible about my future career when I am young so that I prepare myself for later in life.

This person operates on human beings and saves there lives as much as possible.

  5. Q: Why is what they study/do important? A: What a heart surgeon does is important because they save lives as much as possible and help people of the world. Without the heart surgeons in the world many more lives would be lost to heart conditions. Open heart surgery saves the lives of about a half of a million people each year and that is only in the USA. Heart surgeons are very important because without heart surgeons there would be no heart surgery's.

  6. Q: What do you have to do/achieve to work in this area? A: To work in this area you have to do a four year college and then four years of medical school and then a five to seven year residency which is very long hours. There isn't really one major that works better for medical school than another. There are lots of great medical schools in the United States. Some medical schools are harder to get into than others but if you have good grades and a good grade point average you have a shot at getting into a good medical school.

  7. Q: What’s a day in the life of this person like? A: A day in the life of a cardiovascular surgeon is never the exact same. A surgeon can not predict what patients with what problems are going to walk into the hospital and be assigned to them. Normally in a Heart surgeons day they have consultations with patients and preform surgeries on patients that need them and try to fix the problems that the patients may have.
