Thesis Statement: The thing about being a Surgeon that makes people want to do the hard job is that the pay off after all that school, People are interested since they are young they either see something throughout their life or see that it’s a job just for them, some people like in third world countries are thought by their country to become surgeons to perform certain operations that will help their country, another way of looking at it is that people who take this job like working hard and getting a good pay off for their hard work, in the past people who did not want to fight in the wars took the job as a surgeon taking care of the injured like the surgeons of this era do.

Topic Sentence #1: This job is very competitive to pursue do to the fact that medical schools are very strict to what kind of student they want at their school.- Evidence #1: Book 1=Source 1 You need to take an exam before applying to go to a Medical school the exam is called MCAT- Evidence #2: they require for you to generally taking 4 years of undergraduate school before going to a Medical school and the minimum is 3 years of college

IV: Topic Sentence #2: The salary varies from specialty to specialty depending on the type of person you are and the experience you have in your field. - Evidence #1: Most general surgeons make around 120,000 towards the 250,000 range - Evidence #2: Depending on the type of relationship you have with your patients experience and the amount of time you spend around the job.

V: Topic Sentence #3: In Mozambique they’re running low on doctors and surgeons to perform births of children this makes for people to step up and pursue the job of learning to be a surgeon in the villages around - Evidence #1: There are about 3 doctors for 100,000 people in Mozambique which is a lot of people who can’t be treated for their illness or to deliver the women’s babies. - Evidence #2: A lot of girls have become nurses and midwives that have learned to deliver and perform C sections

VI: Topic Sentence #4: The work is very intense to your body and can sometimes be hazardous to your health - Evidence #1: You work long irregular hours only in certain specialties that you get to have a regular schedule like the job of an Otolaryngology specialist - Evidence #2: It gets really stressful at times when working in the field and you have lives in your hand that you can save but if you don’t do it right they could die and it could get to you

VII: Topic Sentence #5: Becoming a licensed surgeon is required to become an official Surgeon and is different for what state you are in. - Evidence #1: You need to get a certificate from The American Board of Surgery Inc. which will take you time to get certified but you get it right after you graduate and become one. - Evidence #2: The license is different for whatever state you work at.
