  2. Where is he from? • Adrian Margey is from Kilrea, County Derry in Northern Ireland. • Kilrea is a very short distance from our school in Swatragh

  3. About the artist…. • At only 28 years of age, Adrian is one of Northern Ireland’s most collectable young artists.

  4. His studio…. • Adrian works from his studio at his home in Kilrea.

  5. His styles….. • Margey has two very different styles: • Traditional- he is inspired by the Irish impressionists • Contemporary- he uses bold colours and strong form

  6. Inspirations…. • Margey loves the countryside. His paintings include interpretations of favourite scenes from the north coast of Ireland. • Some of these include Dunluce castle, Mussenden temple, Downhill beach and the Giant’s Causeway.

  8. Music and Art… • As well as his love for music, Margey is a keen musician. • He has had roles in musicals and currently sings in a Belfast choir.
