  3. Forestry Facts • Pre-consumer recycled paper– trimmings and scraps before sales • Post-consumer recycled paper – recovered after use (newspapers, cardboard, etc) • Mechanical Pulping: up to 95% efficiency – used in newsprint • Chemical Pulping: dissolves lignin,bleached, stronger, lower yield
