What makes the church seem irrelevant and weak (full of hypocrisy, no moral or spiritual authority) to the world? • Worldliness It’s not that the church has sin; it’s the presence of unrepentant sin – we aren’t choosing to turn from our sins back to Jesus • Consumerism When the church tries to entertain and appeal to consumers, there isn’t room for Challenge • Individualism Church has become primarily about the “personal” – personal faith, personal needs, etc. Jesus intended His church to be primarily about “We” before “Me”
