  2. What Is TALENT SEARCH and WhatCan itPROVIDE? • A program that identifies and assists students who have the potential to succeed in college! • Academic Counseling • Career Counseling • Financial Counseling • Encouragement to graduate from high school and continue on to college

  3. What doesTALENT SEARCH DO? • Encourages high school dropouts to reenter school and complete their education • The Goal: • to increase the number of students who complete high school and enroll at a college or technology center

  4. Does it cost anything? NO!!! It’s Free!!

  5. TALENT SEARCH is FREE! So what do I get??? • Fieldtrips • Mentoring • Career Exploration • O.H.L.A.P. (Oklahoma Higher Learning Access Program)

  6. TALENT SEARCH is FREE! So what else do I get??? • ACT/SAT Prep Workshops • Financial Aid Assistance (F.A.F.S.A.) • College Application/Admission Assistance • Scholarship Search Skills

  7. Who can be in TALENT SEARCH? • Middle School students, 11 years or older, who have completed five years of elementary education • High School Students • 2/3 of participants must be the first of their families to graduate from college.

  8. During the School Year... • Talent Search counselors will visit your school. • They will share information about college or technology center admission.

  9. During the Summer • Other activities may include… • Academic events • Career events • Motivational student events • Campus Tours
