  3. Israel Resisted Being Rescued From Egyptian Slavery • Exodus 4:1 “they will not believe me” • Exodus 5:20,21 “put a sword in their hand to kill us.” • Exodus 6:9 “they did not heed Moses” • Exodus 14:11,12

  9. The Deliverance is Worth the Difficulty • We underestimate the difficulty of servitude to sin – Proverbs 13:15 • Need to “count the cost” of Discipleship- Luke 14:27-30 • The Cost of NOT being a Disciple needs to be counted too!

  10. Israel Had It Exactly Backwards: • Dying in the wilderness would have been better than serving the Egyptians- Exodus 14:12 • We need to be prepared to deal patiently & gently with those who seem content to live in sin- 2 Timothy 2:24-26
