The Lansing Central School District Aquatics Program emphasizes water safety and fun for K-12 students. Led by Diane Hicks-Hughes and Shelly Matheny, the program features engaging activities, from kindergarten underwater picture sessions to lifejacket safety education. With students like Kelsey Hagin and Kyle VandePoel, the program trains future Water Safety Instructors (WSI) and lifeguards. As we look forward to summer, our 2nd-grade lessons and "Red Light, Green Light" exercises ensure all participants are prepared for safe and enjoyable experiences in and around water.
