  3. Make your web page parent friendly • Information should be: • Useful • Appropriate • Accurate • Easy to understand • Updated regularly

  4. You might need to update your webpage if…. • You have “…the first day of school is…” • “…I am looking forward to the school year…” • “…the first day of school is…” • Assignments are not up to date • It takes 5 minutes to scroll to the bottom of the page

  5. Anyone with an Internet connection can view your web page! • Keep personal info off • Be cautious of posting student pictures • Never put student names with pics

  6. Update regularly • Update assignments • Use links for websites and assignments • Use appropriate font • Grade level pages should be updated as well

  7. Using Links and Files • No need to have students open word/excel/ppt on their own. Create a link to the file instead. • Have students rename and save under your class’s drive if it is a continuing project. • Print without saving if appropriate.

  8. Go to the Pottsville Elementary Home Page. • Navigate to the Principal’s Page • Click on Making links on your webpage

  9. Afternoon Assignment—Individual Curriculum • Update your web page • Meet with ACSIP if appropriate
